I had this problem with my 95 sidekick. It was the fuel filter gone bad.
check if you have fuel and spark it needs both to work
check the compression on it if it turns over and doesnt start you might have fried the rings
By not catching on, you mean the engine turns but doesn't actually start? I would check the fuel pressure. I'd also try and isolate when it does it. For example, only when hot, only when cold, first start of the day, etc. That will greatly help in the diagnosis. If you're absolutely positive the engine is getting spark, then it's probably fuel related. Hope that helps a little. Feel free to post more information should you have it.
If your car doesnt start, it could be the battery. But if the car starts and you unplug the negative cable and the car turns off, its the alternator.
start with 2 1/2 turns out on high speed needle start with 1 1/2 on your low speed needle. adjust high as needed
If the engine is TOTALLY dead it is not the IAC valve
1,350-1,450 rpm (Shaft driven 2 3/8 turns out) (chain driven 2 turns out)
One thing you need to check is to make sure you have enough gas. You also need to make sure your battery has a full charge.Ê
Most often it is the starter and not the ignition.
The timer is probably bad, if it won't advance the cycle will not start.
IT TURNS OVER BUT WONT FIRE
it turns into arceus NO IT DOESNT
