When you are looking at the engine on the Right (drivers) side the cruise control is a black thing(male) plugged into an orange (female)plug located right in front of the master cylinder (big black roundish thing) then he taped it each piece with electrical tape so that water wouldn't get in. Good Luck.

To fix the cruise control on a 2001 Ford Windstar, start by checking the fuse related to the cruise control system and replacing it if it's blown. Next, inspect the cruise control switch on the steering wheel for any damage or malfunction. Additionally, examine the brake pedal switch, as a faulty switch can disable the cruise control. If these steps don't resolve the issue, consider consulting a professional mechanic for further diagnostics.

On a 1999 Ford Expedition 2WD, the cruise control deactivation switch is typically located on the brake pedal assembly.
