You really can't turn it off. They sell bypass kits, but the passlock system has to be working in order for the bypass thing to work.
You don't. GM products have a passlock system that will prevent starting without a key unless you really know what your doing to disable the system. Best bet would be take the registration in your name to any Chevy dealer and they can make you a new key from the vin#
The BCM (Body Control Module) of the Passlock system is malfunctioning. It will need to be replaced. I just had it done to my '03 Impala.
according to my gm dealer it does not. The passlock system is in the ignition cylinder
If you are changing it because your vehicle won't start when it is cold or humid, don't bother replacing it. Instead, you need to disable the PASSLOCK system. To find out how to do that search for "cut the white wire Saturn ion" on youtube. Good luck.
You don't disable it. You get a new one. You can buy aftermarket computers that change the speed limiter. Or you can be cheep and buy one from a totaled police interceptor from the junk yard.
I dont believe the Impala 2003 uses a DPFE sensor as part of there Emissions system.
