How do you discipline a child that doesn't listen?

You should send then to a boarding school or you should home school them and you should go to a doctor and get your child fixed by taking a blood pressure/test or you should just suffer your whole life and make your older sibling take care of them while you go back to work and you should leave your 10 or 11 year old home or whatever age they are by there selves.

I am honest about that because I am a doctor at a hospital.

If they cry on a daily basis you might want to see a Dr urgently and inform all adults you trust to stay away.

This can get really bad and start to get more irritating.

Sometimes its hard being a parent. Have you tried time out? Or taking away things they enjoy until there is a improvement? My grand daughter has ADHD and we had a tough time with her from age 2 -6 until we finally had her evaluated by a doctor. She is like a different child now and she is a happy child when before she cried and whined,didn't ever want to go to bed and fought her parents over anything and everything they tried to get her to do. Well, if you're problem is the child is embarrassing you, you embarrass them. That way they will learn that i don't wanna get embarrassed, so i wont embarrass mom\dad.

I personally think children should be hit sometimes, they should know that they're going to be spank when they do that thing again. They will hate you for a moment but when the time came they will realize that you are right.

You cannot make your son obedient, but by your own example he may learn obedience Let him know that by being obedient can bring its own rewards. Obedience bring order out of chaos. One word of advice, do not promise a material reward for his obedience, this will only bring about more disobedience. Being obedient brings about its own blessings. Be his/her friend. Don't be so strict that they might be afraid to come up to you with their problems. Show them that your love is unconditional. Even if they do not live up to your expectation, you will always love them because they are your children! All the best =)

A pet is only going to make them happy for a while.......eventually it will get boring to the child and then they will be just as bad as before or maybe even worse. Also a pet would just make them watn a different one when they are older. So the best way to make a child behave better would be disapline. I know it shoulds harsh but in time the child will thank you for it.
