Try contacting the dealer they maybe able to use your VIN# and get you a new remote.
Try unlocking the doors and trunk with the key.
Unlock the doors with the key, or use the remote.
Remove the plastic cover.
The factory alarm can not be disabled. It can be reset by unlocking the doors with a key or remote.
You need to unlock the doors with the remote or by turning the key in either front door or the trunk.
Could be remote start.
It's the provision for On-Star or optional remote start
The remote access module is located under the dash cover on the passenger side at the windshield. This piece easily pops off with a screw driver. This will disconnect the keyless entry system.
This is not a new remote it was once programmed for the car but it sat without battery in it for a long time before I bought it. I know the FOB works per the testing machine they have at Autozone but how to program it to work again is beyond me. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
It is an option, not standard equipment.
Chrysler didn't have factory installed remote starts in 1998. Factory installed remote starts came in the 2007 years. It was likely installed at a dealer when the car was bought.
That requires the dealer's scan tool.
Possible weak remote battery or failed remote.
