How do you drain brake fluid from the master cylinder of a 1993 Honda Accord coupe?
A couple ways. Use a turkey baster. Open the bleeders and allow it to gravity bleed.
The back brakes on my Honda Accord are disc brakes. After removing the brake cylinder assembly you will see the brake cylinder piston end has a slot in it. The short pin on the back side of the inner brake pad fits into this slot, but also it is used to 'Turn' (clock-wise) the piston back into the cylinder so you fit the assembly back over the new 'thicker' pads. You can not 'press' this…
How do you get the brake lights on your 1990 Honda Accord to turn off Everything else is turned off but the brake lights are still on and are draining the battery?
It goes in the master brake cylinder reservoir. The cap of the reservoir says to use only Dot3 brake fluid. This cylinder is accessible on the driver's side of the car when you open the hood of the car. Do not confuse it with the power steering reservoir which is also on the driver's side. The power steering reservoir is the one closest to the front of the car and the cap on it also…
Where would you check the Tran fluid level in a 1995 Honda Accord since the clutch is going to the floor?
Its not your transmission fluid. If you have a clutch it is probably going bad. You can check your clutch master cylinder fluid in the engine compartment. It is just like your brake master cylinder. Chiltons has repair manuals at the library I think. Or the manual in your car should show you where it is.
Why is the floor of the driver's side of my 1998 Honda Accord always wet when I don't drive through water or leave windows open. I soak up water everyday with paper towels. Why wetness all the time?
Answer look strait in front of the steering wheel in the engine compartment you will see a black square cap... under it you'll see a plastic container(master cylinder resivor). then under that there is a long metal shaft (actual master cylinder) with four metal tubes screwed into it(brake lines)...all of this is one unit about 8inches tall and 12 inches long. two bolts attach it to the firewall ANSWER TRANSMISSION COVER OUTSIDE
A symptom you almost always feel is a brake pedal that will not hold. You stop, hold the brake, and the pedal will slowly move toward the floor. This is a sure sign the master cylinder is bad. A leaking master cylinder or one that sticks, is also a sign is is defective. When you replace the master cylinder replace all the brake fluid in the brake system and bleed the brakes. Moisture in the…
