There are many other ways you can use the services like Rapidshare.com (for this you have to upload it first) otherwise you can send the files through Yahoo Messenger or use remote login or can use Torrent to transfer... it is the easiest way to send it...
Another way is to Set up your comp as server and you can give a link to your friend through which he can directly download the file into his comp...
