How do you find a basic in-ground pool plumbing layout?

Check local plumbing codes as there is no such thing as basic.

The water supply must be provided with an air gap to prevent the possibility of contamination of the potable water supply.

The piping material must be able to hold the pressure and yet not be affected by chlorine

The drain had to be protected from having a large vortex which can litterly suck a child down and drown them

If there is lighting inside the pool special GFI's must be taken into consideration and the skimmer GPM flow rate has to be calculated by how many gallons the pool holds
