you need too locate p.i.n/wire no.80 on your e.c.u located on the drivers side just above the interior fuse box, this is called the pulse wire to make your taco register the amount of revs you are doing. The rest of the wires go to main power , ground and ligths.

The LX has a D16Y7 engine where as the EX has a D16Y8 engine, they have different engines but the oil pan plug from the LX should fit into the EX. The blocks of the engines are the same size 1.6L having the same size oil pans. So the Oil plug should fit without any problems.
