I am also looking for answers to this situation. My pool was poured today while it rained. The walls in part of the pool collapsed just after they shot the gunite. There are now large sections where the steel is exposed and I am sure those areas are filling up with water. If you can help or give any suggestions please contact me at coronado4@msn.com
Thanks
If there are chunks that have fallen and void areas, just reshoot those areas. The nice thing about gunite is there are no cold joints when you place new gunite over old gunite.
Of course most guniters charge a setup fee just to show up at the job no matter how large it is, so small shoots are expensive.
You or your ("connTractor") must construct the largest and most powerful trebuchet and hurl the most powerful of all repair media (MONEY) at the highest velocity into the empty hole. Then place all sub conntractors,(layered in a criscross pattern),covered with 3/4 crushed rock, finish up with a fine sandy loam, litley "compacted" sprinkle with an even coating of an approiate grass seed, apply water and enjoy your best friend's pool!!! This is my best advice,

Most pools are price by the perimeter foot and not by the shape.

I say gunite for the ability to create any shape pool you desire. Otherwise, you are stuck with the pre-fab design of the vinyl variety.
The gunite pool is basically what most people refer to as the in-ground concrete pool. Because this pool will shape to the contours of your yard, it is a great choice for those who want something more unique than the typical vinyl lined pools. The tile on the gunite pool can be cleaned with household tile cleaner when you are doing your deep cleaning of your pool. This requires that the pool be drained and rinsed thoroughly.
Pebble sheen is the finish on the surface of a pool gunite is the cement that a pool is constructed from in other words you can finish a gunite pool with pebble sheen.
Gunite
building pool myself just want to contract out the gunite job are you interested
The average cost of a gunite pool is $75,000. The price for the installation of this type of pool can range from $50,000 to $100,000.
Gunite is a trowled-on cement coating similar to stucco.
No the Gunite is the underlayer and base of your pool and has plenty of water in it when it goes on. Now your plaster which is the last coat and the part you swim in needs to be covered with water as soon as the cement workers are finished in order to dry properly. Kenny Kummer brody Chemical
