The abs relay switch in a citreon c3 2007 model is located in the dashboard under the airbags. The process of reaching this switch is unscrewing the dashboard and taking it out, followed by carefully removing the airbags. After this the switch should be fairly noticeable, it should be glowing red. if it is glowing red you need oh wait this is for a citreon c2 model.
Most likely cause is a problem with the front brake light switch located in the right switch housing on the handlebars. If you installed new levers you may have ones for a different model or the clip that holds the switch my have fallen out.
Changing the brake light switch is a relatively simple task, and you should try to do it yourself. The brake light switch is a small electronic device located at the top of the brake pedal (inside the car on the floor where your feet go). It is about 3 inches long, has wires coming out of one side, and a plunger on the other that moves in and out when you step on the brake. First, unplug the brake light switch cables. You'll have to pinch the sides and wiggle it out. You will need to use a 1/2 inch socket or spanner to remove the L shaped metal bracket above the brake light switch, just in front of the brake pedal and clutch pedal. (Actually, I did this but it may not have been necessary. See if you can perform the next step without taking this out.) The brake light switch is held in by two plastic pins. You'll need to turn it like a bottle cap and gently pull out until it comes out out. This is your culprit. On 1998, 1999, and early model 2000 beetles, the brake light switch is a two wire device. On late model 2000 and 2001 beetles, the brake light switch is a four wire device. To put in the new brake light switch, put it into the same slot the old one just came out of, and rotate it until it is in the same position as the previous one. Reattach the L shaped metal bracket above the brake light switch. Plug the cables back into the brake light switch, making sure they are firmly seated. Be careful of the clutch pedal switch. It has a similar switch to the brake light switch. If it comes out, just put it back in. The clutch pedal switch is used to make sure you have the clutch pedal pressed down when you are starting the car, otherwise it won't start. Good luck.
The brake light switch is located on the brake pedal assembly. 1. Remove the cover below the instrument panel 2. Remove the electrical connector. 3. On the switch their is a locking tab the prevents rotation. Press the "tab" and rotate the switch 90 degrees. 4. Remove switch.
yes. many late model automatics require you to have the brakes on, before shifting into gear..... the auto uses the brake switch to "unlock" the the shifter when the brakes are on... ergo.... switch is faulty, then the auto won't "unlock"
Audi brake switch same as VW Golf (in newer models). A common problem with VW Golf 2002 is the brake light switch. The vehicle won't come out of park if it breaks. The 2002 model had a recall due to faulty brake switches. Read online how to fit it before fitting - easy to break if you don't understand what you're doing.
From the factory, the brake light switch is screwed into the front of the master cylinder on all 64 model Fords. You just unplug the two wires from the top of it and unscrew the old one, screw in the new one, re-attache the wires and bleed the brakes.
More information needed: What make model vehicle is it? Early VW'S had a pressure operated brake light switch that was on the master cylinder. When you pressed the pedal the pressure would cause the switch contacts to close; lighting the brake lights. Haven't see one of them in a loooooong time! this model line has problems with the brake light switch-- there was a recall--
Check fuseRun a new fused hot line to the cold side of the brake switch read this and you will understand the power for the brake lights goes through you signal light switch first (example when you have the left signal light on ,and your pushing the brake pedal the right side is a brake light and the left side is the signal light )so either you signal light switch is bad or there is a reley for the brakes in the model car you have i dont believe so though somtimes when the switch goes bad you get a burnt plastic or wire smell you dont get the smell all the time you may not smell it at all .try to turn your singnal light left and right a few times if that dont work try to push you fourway button a couple times this may get it working again for a while but it wont fix it there is metel contacts in there and there not contacting properly
Keep messing with the headlight switch, the dome light should come on depending on the car model.
any auto parts store will be able to tell you as long as you tell them the year, make ,model, and engine size
