There is no problem...the problem was the alternator. You have fixed the problem.
Your alternator is not functioning per the manufacturers standards. When it is at low idle the pulley is spinning considerably slower resulting in less output. A new alternator will fix your problem.
when can fix alternator in namibia
The alternator is on it's way out.
sounds like electrical to me, try a new alternator and new battery. from the sounds of it, this should fix the problem.
If you can jump it and get it running again, drive it for a few miles and then it dies again, it is the alternator. Buy a new alternator and it will fix the problem assuming you do not have bad connections "wires" in your charging system "your alternator and your battery".
Change alternator or check alternator brushes
This problem sounds like a loose or worn alternator belt. The belt needs to be tightened or replaced and this should fix it.
I had the same problem with a Lebaron I had. It turned out to be a wiring problem. Luckily there's really no part cost to fix this problem, just labor in tracking down the bad connection.
we are still trying to fix the problem
Electrical system problem. Check all connections for corrsion and make sure they are tight. I would suspect a bad ground connection. Check the ground stap for the engine. Also check all fuses for tightness. Have the alternator and alternator belt checked.Answerthe dimmer/headlight switch, cougers had a problem with them about $15.00 and an hour of your time in the dash will fix the problem, if the battery light is on then i would check the alternator and belt but I'm pretty sure you will find it to be the headlight switch
Most likely, your starter isn't the problem. You may have a bad alternator. Usually when your battery doesn't recharge properly it's an issue with the alternator. Have a mechanic inspect the alternator if you're not comfortable doing it yourself. If it is an issue with the alternator, it's a pretty cheap fix.
