I experienced the same problem when I first purchased my 2005 Mazda 6. At times it would be fully readable and at others, parts of the clock would not light up. I took it to the dealer expecting a huge fix but found that to not be the case. They ended up removing that display and sending it out to the manufacturing company who fixed it for about $90. It turned out to just be something funny with the wiring. Hope this helps.
I have a 2001 MAZDA tRIBUTE WITH A FACTORY 6 DISK CD CHANGER. Can't get cds to load or eject. Radio and cassteet player work fine.
with car on Press 1 and 6 at the same time, turn the radio on, then enter the 8 digit Serial Number exactly as it apears on the display.
