Do it yourself engine transmission flush and filter change on 2005 Chevy silverado 5.3?"
It will do damage to a diesel engine. Drain the tank and flush the fuel lines. Do not run this engine with unleaded gasoline in the tank.
If you put petrol in a diesel vehicle do not start the engine. Petrol will do serious damage to a diesel engine. You must drain all the petrol out and flush the fuel lines.
go to Jiffy Lube
dat is a very durable truck. anyway try an engine flush and a diesel treatment. if its turbo which i think it may not try using a thicker engine oil. that is an oil of higher body
You can flush your Caterpillar diesel engine cooling system by removing the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator. What a running water hose in the top of the radiator and leave it run.
Hopefully you haven't run it yet, so drain the tank and flush the fuel lines to keep the diesel out of the engine. If you have run it, consult a mechanic. You may have to break down the engine.
in general gasoline will affect on any diesel component that combine rubber seals ,rubber '0" rings ,and if engine its capable of running will damaged pistons connecting rods by bending them / if you come to this mistake do not crank or start the engine ,towed to your mechanic and have him flush the entire system.
Can you? Sure you can. Should you? NO! A gasoline engine will not run on diesel. You will end up having to drain the tank, flush the fuel lines, replace the filter, and possibly the injectors.
Ive never heard of draining coolant plugs except on a diesel engine . Once you drain the coolant and flush the system it should be fine
you have to drop the tank, flush it, replace the fuel pump, flush the fuel lines (if you ran it before realizing you had put diesel in it) replace the filter and hope you didnt get any sprayed into the piston area by the fuel pump. if so you might as well buy a new engine.
Need to flush your fuel injector
