I had the same problem and solved it by simply going up a guy who had the same truck and borrowed his mechanism. Or you can go to a dealer and get them to lower the spare. I now have the spare in the back. I plan to to hire a welder to make a bracket, to hold the spare outside the vehicle. I find the Toyota system impractical. On a cold, wet dark night on the highway, you don't want to be messing with finding that hole
Order a replacement Toyota 4-runner....!!!
depends if you have the v6 or 4cyl. I bet u have a v6 and the gap is .032. I own a v6. If you dont then your S.O.L.
They dont have any spare time, they work all day long.
i dont have a clue
you dont! if you need that then you are buying a new cv shaft.
i dont no can you tell me
the correct spare should be smaller. its a "space-saver". install it in your trunk per the owners manual and only use it when you have a flat (meaning dont use it as a regular tire, its only for emergencies to get you to a garage to repair the regular tire)
I dont know how to turn that sensor off; although, i do have a 2006 tundra and if your spare tire is low that light will come on as well so you might want to check that out.
If you have the 3.0L engine with a manual transmission it is a direct bolt up i dont know about the automatic but i am sure it is the same if you are switching from a four cylinder to the 3.4L then it requires a lot more work but it can be done a well
DONT DO IT...THE INPUT SHAFT IS DIFFERENT! You will need to use a transmission input shaft for a v8. It will cause engine failure if you dont!
