You will probably have to re-thread unless you can get a SLIGHTLY over sized bolt to thread and seal
if your lucky you stripped the one that its trough , so you can put a longer bolt with a nut on the other side
Yes, the bolt that holds the harmonic balancer in place on a 2001 Chevy Malibu is reverse thread. I learned that the hard way and stripped the head of my bolt down to nothing. And the bolt is almost impossible to find, because they no longer make them.
Usually at the engine end of the upper radiator hose in a bolt on type housing
You can go with a bolt on (more money) or a weld in (less money)
it is located where the top radiator hose enters the motor inside the bolt on metal housing

If a bolt is stripped on the windshield wiper on a 1995 Subaru Legacy Wagon, there are two options. A person can go to a salvage yard and purchase new wipers for the vehicle, or they can have the bolt hole tapped for a larger bolt.
This was my own question and the my conclusion to the problem was bring it to my mechanic due to the fact you have to remove the manifold to get to the bolt~ who ever designed this engine was not keeping the consumer in mind!
