1. Try holding the shift lever against the "Park" position while taking the key out. 2. Try turning the steeringwheel to the left and or right while taking the key out. 3. Try to pres the key further into the switch, then turning it to the lock position, and take it out. 4. Try pressing on the brake peddle while taking the key out. This has worked on my daughter's 2001 Buick Regal.

No, the ignition switch is not located in the tumbler assembly. If the key is stuck try turning the steering wheel each way while at the same time turning the key. If it will not come out then something is wrong with the assembly.

Simply remove the black piece from your ignition.(its a black cap)..and when removed you will see a small red button..if you see that push that and press the "push" black button, turn your key and pop it out.
