In general, one cannot get an auto loan without a driver's license (that loan will have been acquired fraudulently according to most auto loan contracts).
A person can, however, co-sign someone else's loan without having posession of a driver's license.
yes you can get a auto loan without a license but you can not get auto insurance with out one and you can't complete the loan closing without insurance.
Yes.
Yes, I've done it.
No you need to have a drivers license. It is illegal to drive a car without a drivers license and that is how the finance company looks at it.
Yes, the lender is looking for the ability to pay, not the ability to drive.
dealer/licence
Cosigning on a loan has nothing to do with having a drivers lincense. You are just agreeing to pay the loan if the primary person does not. You are not driving the car. The only thing a lender is interested in is your ability to pay the loan.
This would not be considered an auto loan by the lender. This would be considered a 'signature' loan. If you have good enough credit and a good relationship with your bank, they will loan you money without collateral.
yes, but you can be an originator without a license.
No you need a valid DL for the loan officer to see...or you could have someone co-sign a loan for you...
Never cosign a loan. While I agree that one should NOT cosign. cosigning can hurt or help. Remember that if they do not pay you have to. Cosigning will affect your credit and count towards your debt to income ratio and show as an open joint auto loan. You might be turned down to get your own auto loan without a cosigner if you cosign.
call a nebraska auto dealer to find out correctly.
