Break one of the windows, reach inside (taking care not to cut yourself on the glass) and open it from the inside! Quick and easy, and one window is not too expensive to replace, compared to the damage you might do if you try to be clever with trying to get in!
crawl in from the trunk i do
There are some patio doors that comes with handles. It depends on which patio doors you purchase and the store that you purchase them at. If you visit Home Depot, you can find out how many patio doors are available with handles.
no sears has not closed doors
A door switch is broken or out of adjustment.
I have had this problem, there is a small spring inside one of the doors that is broken causing the doors to relock on there own, replacing the broken spring should fix the problem
XJ40 door handles are made out of a very brittle metal that breaks easily. On the inside of the handle is a protruding arm into which is inserted a rod that is pushed down to release the latch when you pull up on the handle. The arm on your door handles is broken. You can buy rear handles on Ebay. Take care to get the proper year. 1988-1990 handles are smaller than 1991-1994 handles. The good news is that the rear handles are interchangable left to right, as they have the little arms at both sides of the handle. Kids and ham-handed buffoons do not mix well with XJ40 door handles.

Dirty contacts (if fitted) on the hatchback door. A broken door switch or broken door switch wire.
maybe it is because the outside locks are broken
yes Not from the outside!!! If you have a sedan and the child safety latch is on, you won't be able to open the back door from the inside even if is unlocked. Otherwise, all doors can be opened, by pulling the handles from the inside, when they are locked. Of course, you won't be able to open them from the outside while locked, unless you have the key, or the remote! No matter the position of the child safety latch, it is not possible to open the back doors from inside when it is locked. That mechanical auto unlock feature is only for front doors.

I have had this problem. The central locking system checks that all of the doors are closed when it is activated. So it has a loop of wires that goes through all the doors (when the doors are closed the loop is complete and the central locking stays locked) What is happening is, some of the wires in the loop have snapped, his happens in the doors, (if you look in the door when it is open, on the hinge side, you will see a black rubber tube that contains the wiring). All of the door wiring will need to be checked and broken wires repaired - this should solve the problem.
