Once the vehicle is unlocked. Push the jag symbol in the center of the trunk. This is a neat little hidden feature that took me about 2 years to figure out.

What year model is? If it is a 1994-2000 you can connect a car battery to jump-start points in the engine bay, and open the trunk from the trunk release button inside the car.

Can you hear the motor trying to pop open the trunk? Does it open using the remote, the green Jag button in the middle of the rear chrome on the trunk deck lid or using the button near the steering wheel? Does the trunk open with the key? Does it open when you use the key in the drivers door after pushing the unlock button three times? If the answer is NO to all these questions than the motor to the trunk eject needs to be replaced or if you had it in the bodyshop, more than likely they did not reconnect the wires correctly. My bodyshop recently didn't wire up the trunk motor correctly and I had the same problem. I couldn't use my remote to pop open the trunk, the secret green Jag button that many Jag owners don't know about didn't work when I pushed it and the button near the steering wheel didn't work either. My key didn't work either so it was quite a time trying to get my golf clubs out of my trunk. After taking it in to a dealership they were able to correct the problem and now my trunk works fine. Beware of bodyshops, they very seldom know how to work on Jaguars. You can find used motors for your trunk at Jaguar Heaven in California. I have used a few of their parts NEW and USED and they work fine and the service is exceptional if you talk to Dan. Good Luck! Dave (Las Vegas)

you cannot access trunk by removing back seat, you have to remove the 6*9in rear speaker and fish keys out that way, worked for me.AnswerLocksmith? The purpose of the "Valet Key" is to allow a parking attendant or any other person to operate the car, but not be able to access the trunk where presumably you would store your valuables. The tip of the Valet key is different from the Master Key. It is part of the security systems design. You can use the Valet key to have another master key cut. But as you are probably aware, most locksmiths lack the special machine or key blanks to help you. Jag dealers will charge you a fortune, check the internet I had mine cut by a shop in Australia and had them delivered in the US in 3 days for under $35
