A great way to get motor oil off your hands is to use olive oil: Squirt some olive oil on your hands, rub your hands together to get the motor oil dissolved, then use soap to remove the mixture. Works great, doesn't leave your skin dry and irritated like solvents do.
No they do not require you mess with them when new.
It is a derivative of oil. They separate crude oil and part of it makes motor oil, and another part makes grease (with other things added of course) and the rest is used for even other products.
dishwashing liquid. Its a good grease/oil cutter
Shoe polish is a complex mixture with organic hydrophobic molecules. The stain will probably not come out of your hands, but you can get the residue off by washing your hands multiple times with large amounts of soap. You can also try mechanic's soap (I like the brand Fast Orange, but there are many out there) - this stuff will cut engine grease, so it'll also cut through shoe polish. If you don't have this, you can try rubbing alcohol or hair shampoo, both of which should be able to dissolve the grease components.
No all pool motors have sealed bearings
Oil and water do not mix. Soap breaks down the oil so it can be washed off your hands.
could be oil burn off from the leak Or during repair, the relative dripped oil on the motor, and the excess is burning off when the motor gets hot!
you can try to oil it with slide grease or take it to instrument store.
Get a Hotsy, steam it off with light pressure
The oil/grease is so thick and the openings in the lower portion of the outboard motor are narrow there is a potential for large air pockets to form, causing the motor to have less oil/grease than it should have. By adding from the bottom up you will see a more accurate fill with less air pockets.
if you rub your hand with oil your hands will be oilli and it want come off at least you wash it every good
