It sounds as if you're emotionally interested in this guy. Some people get into fwbs with a person they have feelings for, hoping the other person will eventually feel the same way. Sometimes this happens, many times it doens't. Currently, both of you have the right to see other people and to also end the fwb at any time. The problem with friends with benefits is that it's not a relationship--it's a gray area of regular sex and affection without the commitment. No one's wrong here--but you're going to get hurt if you have feelings for this guy and he only wants to be in a fwb with you. If you want a relationship with him, you should be honest and ask how he agrees. If he doesn't want this, it's probably best to end the fwb with him.
