Soreness is a result of not getting enough oxygen to the muscle. Muscles require oxygen to create energy, and without it they must ferment energy, or make energy without oxygen. When they do this, the waste product is called lactic acid, and if it sits around too long, you get muscle soreness.

yes , the soreness is due to working muscles that are not used to be worked. start very slowly and with the least restrictive resistance and the soreness will go away

I would consult a doctor. That being said, fibromyalgia and lupus are just two of the diseases that can cause aching sore muscles.
