remove the carpet section on the inside cover , there are plastic plugs they just pop out , most will break but they are cheap and found in the auto parts help section, under that you will see a panel with several Phillips screws remove that cover and you will see the motor and mechanism if the motor is still good you can use a battery charger on the 2 wires in the tailgate one positive one negative, reversing will make it go up and down. there are 3 bolts on the motor , remove those and the glass will move by hand. be sure to support the glass when tailgate is down and glass is fully extended , i used a garbage can and a pillow. good luck

If its the bronco XLT you'll have to take the tail gate paneling off the inside. The motor, gears, etc. for the rear window are located in there. I had the same problem with mine sometime back.

you have to take all the plastic trim off inside the rear around the window the window is bolted into place yes i know it sounds crazy but there little nuts tend bolts are molded into the rubber around the window and nuts on the inside so there you go
