There is no hoses on an evaporator coil.
Assuming your asking about the hoses on either side- You would need to evacuate the system before even trying. So unless you have the equipment like a recovery machine and cylinder, don't even try...
The process of replacing the heater core in this generation of Taurus / Sables includes having to disconnect the AC lines.
