My oil filter is stuck on my 1995 Jimmy truck whats the best thing i can do?
You can unscrew your stuck oil filter with an oil filter wrench. If the oil filter wrench does not work, punch a metal rod through the oil filter. Turn the oil filter off with the metal rod.
They ate it or it go stuck in the filter. Check the filter and see if it's there. If not, it may have gotten stuck in the filter, staved and then when it washed out of the filter the fish ate it.
it's dead!
Chances are that there is a rubber O ring stuck in the channel the filter seats into. Remove the filter, take a scribe or something like a scribe and make sure there isn't an old O ring stuck up there.
Change transmission fluid and filter and check electrical connections for corrosion
old rubber gasket stuck to block or to much oil pressure regulated by spring above oil filter Filter not tight, hole in filter,....
cut it
check and see if the old rubber gaskit is stuck on the oil filter housing
Be sure you are installing the correct oil filter for that engine.
You can try to rotate the plug to see if it loosens a bit. If it doesn't, your best bet is unscrewing the screws that are holding the jack connector in place. You can then easily unplug the cable.
use an oil filter remover, i find the strap type that uses a ratchet works best, the chain type distroys the filter and you get oil everywhere
