How do you get the water pump off the fan on a 1997 Dodge Ram pickup?

Use engine oil on it, and let it sit for awhile. Mine took a day to loosen up. Its either that or buy new fan blades, pulley, & clutch fan.

ADVANCE AUTO PARTS... has a set of loaner tools that are made for this very thing.

You will have to make a deposit to borry them, but not to worry, when you return

the tools, you will get your deposit back in full. I did this and know for sure that

it works. I replaced the water pump on a 97 dodge ram.

Hope this will help someone with the same problem.
