How do you get the wire and brackets from braces off your teeth?

The orthodontist takes takes a special pair of pliers and puts one end of the pliers over the end of a tooth and the other tine of the pliers against the brace glued onto the tooth and squeezes: Voila! the brace snaps off the tooth. Some orthodontists use a different method that just requires squeezing each brace with a pair of pliers. There are many videos on YouTube that show orthodontists removing the braces. The pliers are available on eBay, but be careful! Teeth can break.

How do orthodontists take brace off?
They take the wire out that connects the brackets (square metal parts that are on each individual tooth). Then they pull the brackets off of each tooth, and scrape the glue off of the tooth that held the bracket on. They also pull the metal bands that wrap around your back teeth, and scrape the glue off of those teeth. When they have removed the braces and the glue, they will take a mold of your teeth, and use it to make a retainer so that your teeth will stay in the same positions your braces put them in. If you are worried about getting your own braces off, don't. It sounds painful, but it really doesn't hurt at all. But they all say that, and I'm scared! D:

If you have braces can you wear vampire fangs?
no cause the teeth have to go over the braces and its just annoying. Also with the adhesive with the fangs will just pull your brackets off or the fangs wilbe stuck there and it is very uncomfortable.

No. The reason being. . .when you get your braces off you would have yellow squares on your teeth where the brackets are. The best thing you can do is use a whitening toothpaste and, like your orthodontist should have told you, brush them after every meal or AT LEAST swish water in your mouth. Hope that helps!!

They will then hold the band and wobble it up and down to loosen the glue. When you get braces tightened it does not hurt that much it just feels like pressure on your teeth. What the dentist does is: 1. Looks at your teeth. (NOT PAINFUL) 2. Takes the wire out. Asks you what color brackets you want. (BEST PART) 7. Put the brackets on. (THIS IS WHEN YOU FEEL THE PRESSURE, BUT STILL NOT PAINFUL) 8. Tightens the wire. He also cuts the wire shorter. (NOT PAINFUL) Then you leave THATS it... HAHA I know I was a little scared the first time I went but then the dentist tightened them and it went by quick it only takes about 15 minutes... DO NOT BE SCARED!

It depends on if your braces require a metal band or not on the back teeth. I didn't get them at first, but my back brackets kept falling off, so they put spacers in and a week later they put in metal bands. It really depends on the orthodontist.

All orthodontists are different. The extra wire is cut off and you are finished!

I just got my braces taken off and Its the best feeling ever! 1-They tell you to bite on a small piece of cotton bud with your front teeth. 2- They take dentist glue and put little amounts on your teeth. 3. They put the brackets on, and dry the glue, with a laser. 4. when all of the brackets are put on, they place a wire in between the brackets. 5.
