"blown out" = flushed(??)
The good news and the not-so-good:
Yes.
Like most water-based exchangers, known as the heater core, a hot liquid passes through the inside of a housing which is covered in metal 'fins'. Air then is blown over this housing where it picks up some of the heat from the heater core and moved through the ducts to the vehicle cabin. See "Related Questions" below for much more about Taurus / Sable heater cores
Maybe bad locking switch Maybe blown fuse
Either your headlight is burned out or you have a broken wire. You can check it out with a volt meter.
stuck closed thermeostat or blown cylinder head gasket.
the batterys in your keyless remote may need to be changed
could be either a dead battery or some type of blown fuse.....these are relatively simple places to start looking
What you may be experiencing is a blown resistor. If the heater only works when on 4, but not 3, 2, or 1, then it is most definitely the answer. If it is, there is plenty of info on this at newcougar.org.
recheck where you were at to replace the heater core, might have accidentally un plugged something.also look into blown fuses . good luck
