If this is on Windows:
Hold the windows button and press 'P' (not Ctrl + P) and use the arrow buttons or mouse select duplicate to have the same screen on both, extend will give you separate screens on each.
Right click on the desktop and select display or personalize the make sure that the screen you want as the main screen is selected as main screen in the drop down box. Also make sure your projector is running at highest resolution so it shows the best possible quality.
:)
No you have to put it to hybernate i belive some of the laptops have that option like my Alienware laptop if you do that it will run the programs while its closed and monitor is off but will run the programs and download. Other than that if your laptop doesnt have that option no
turn if off and on agian or reset it but make sure every thing is backed up on disc or a mermory stick first
Laptop screen wipes are definitely worth buying. Not only do they clean fingerprints and other marks off of screens, they also do so safely and without damaging the delicate material of the screen.
Easy OFF oven cleaner is very caustic and I have used this to remove tint from computer monitor screens. Just be careful. Wear rubber gloves and keep off the car paint.
Check the battery. Most likely you have a battery that won't hold a charge.
Turn off the monitor and wipe it gently with a very soft cloth. If needed, use a special monitor cleaner or moisten the cloth lightly with a vinegar/water mixture. Do not scrub hard, and this can permanently damage your flat screen monitor or TV set.
Basically, a laptop is designed to be portable, and can run off an internal battery until the battery goes flat. A desktop is designed to sit on a desk, table, workstation, etc, and is not meant to be portable. Unlike the more compact laptop, the desktop usually has an external monitor, keyboard and mouse, and is unlikely to have an internal battery. Both the laptop and desktop can be run off the mains.
Yes, you measure the TV, or monitor screen (computer) diagonally. On the newer flat screens the measurement may be a tad off, but you can get the general idea.
This might be possible, yes. Much of this depends upon the graphics chipset and driver in use on your laptop. Many laptop graphics cards will allow you to use the laptop display panel as well as an external monitor at the same time. You may need to update your video drivers if you do not see the options to do that when you look at your display settings. WIndows should recognize that another external monitor is attached. IF will run it with a generic driver which may not be the most suitable. IF you have the driver install it. to manipulate it, go to COntrol Panel, Personalize, Display settings adn click accordingly. this is wehre you do all configuration, settings etc note that you can adjust the positioning fo the 2nd monitor in relation of the ist monitor or notebook. Choose extended if you want to run separate progams or applications on the second monitor. Sometimes when the NB is config. as such, and after disconnecting it, Windoes ( esp on XP), it still thinks that the second monitor is still connected. WHen the application does not appear on the only screen, tehn GO to this section and manuallly check off the second monitor...
The monitor screen is completely autonomous to the computer itself. If you're using a desktop computer and not a laptop, it's perfectly fine to turn off the monitor and leave the computer running. You cannot, however, shut the lid, sleep, hibernate, or do anything to a laptop an keep the downloads runnings. You can turn down the brightness on your laptop if you wish, but you can't shut it off entirely.
If your laptop has a TV out socket then just buy the relevant cable. If it doesn't, and it _does_ have a standard VGA monitor socket you can get a box that converts this to a format suitable for TV. Ebay for "VGA converter", they cost about $40.
No. The DVI port on your computer is output only. However, you may be able to find a USB TV tuner card with DVI input that would allow you to pull this off.
