or you don't listen to answers like that, there is some wiring involved its best to have done by a mechanic but its well worth it to know for sure your gage is accurate
you have your wires routed wrong
that wire is for the radio dimmer. when you turn on your headlights the radio dims so your not blinded at night. Some aftermarket stereos have a place to hook this wire up and some don't.
1993-1997 you hook the cables to the battery. 1998-2004 you hook the cable to the jump start posts under the hood, passenger side.
go buy a aftermarket wiring harness from any car stereo store and snap it in and follow the wiring colors and you are done..
on factory wire harnes, there are 5 speaker wires. 4 are (+). on speakers, but only one (-). when i hook up aftermarket head unit do i hook up all negative speaker wires together

You can not just cut a wire to disable an alarm. You will have to hook that wire back up.
if you have the Bose system you might need to hook up the aftermarket amp wire to the factory amp
green wire on aftermarket tachs are the signal wire i belive
you must go to wal-mart or any other store and by the adapter wireing kit for that car. Most foreign cars need adapters to hook up to aftermarket stereos.
