From the screw tabs across is just under 6.5". I bought 5.25" and the fit (1992 plymouth acclaim) except the screw tabs are too short
The black radiator hose comes out of the upper left of the radiator. Follow it to where it connects to the engine block at the top center of the engine. It is just to the left of the ignition coil. That is the thermostat housing. Remove the bolts holding the housing, and the thermostat will be there.
It is inside the fuel tank.

My 1991 Plymouth Acclaim manual says mine is R12, but I can't say for the '92 It was built with R12, should be retrofitted to R134a.
It should have top posts.
The oil filter is on the lower front of the engine.

may be the ignition coil! happened to me, otherwise check battery of course. or wires.
