The window motor is attached to the window regulator by screws. After removing the door trim you must detach the regulator from the door by drilling-out four rivits. Then remove the screws from the old motor and install the new motor. Re-attach the regulator with bolts and put the trim back on the door.
It is most likely a broken window regulator or bad electric motor. Don't know about the cost of the motor but the regulator will run $40-$70 + labor to install.
You have to drill the rivets on the motor separating it from the regulator. The new motor then mounts to the regulator and you insert the new bolts where the riverts were.
It does not matter, the motor will continue to turn either way until stopped by the window regulator.
Remove the door panel. Use a coat hanger or ty rap to secure the window in the up position. Disconnect the wiring from the motor. Remove the bolts that secure the glass to the regulator. Remove the regulator. Install motor on new regulator. Installation is the reverse procedure. 6 to 8 bolts in entire process. Good Luck. CAH
