It's kind of deceptive. Ignore the two bolts that are holding the electronic unit to the sensor and look around for a strange double-decker bolt that attaches the sensor to the transmission. Remove this bolt and twist the whole speed sensor until the gear disengages. It should then come free easily.

First start by removing the intake. Then drain the coolant and remove the lower radiator hose from the engine. This will help with the removal and replacement of the speed sensor. Directly below the throttle body on top of the transmission differential will be the speed sensor. You need a 10mm socket with an extender to remove it and there are three bolts. Be careful not to lose the little rod inside the speed sensor. Reverse the process to install the new sensor.
