I own a '96 Chevy Lumina that has the same problem and it sounds like it is a fairly common problem. I don't actually have the solution, however I know that if I turn the car to the on position and sit for a couple of minutes, then try and crank it over, it will magically start. I was thinking maybe there is just a bad connection or wire somewhere in the ignition system.

Your 1998 F150 has 3 relays for your power door locks : an all unlock relay / a driver unlock relay / and an ALL LOCK RELAY I'm guessing that the ALL LOCK RELAY has failed I'm sorry but I haven't found the location of the power lock/unlock relays on your F150 yet ( does anyone know the location of the power door lock / unlock relays on a 1998 F150 ? )
How do you change brake lines on a 91 Chevy Lumina and can it be done by a non mechanic with some common sense?
grey if i remember correctly but a cheap 12v test light wont hurt have someone crank engine while testing. pump gets only a 3 second prime from control unit then depends on cranksensor signal to power pmp circuit. ther is also a pump relay and a fuse mounted on drivers side top strut toer under square cap labled fuel pump relay
