Have the car checked at a wheel alignment shop.
Check your tires. The tread should wear evenly. The steering wheel should not "pull to one side or the other." If either of these is not correct then an alignment is needed.
I dont know but i once hade a similar problem and it turned out the car needed a wheel alignment
Answer the steering wheel will pull to one side or the other when you are driving. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Best way to know is to look at the tread wear pattern on the tires. or simple go to a garage and get the alignment checked out.
A alignment is needed if its pulling to one side. Where as a balance is needed if the car is viberating.
I would like to know this answer too.......
Not that I know of , just rear wheel drive on a Mercury Grand Marquis from the factory
The only that I know of is that you need an alignment.
It is in the way you wheel wear. If you go to tyre centre they will be able to tell you if you need an alignment as they can see the way you tyres are wearing.
If you find out, let me know. I have the same question.

If your car's tires are out of balance it will usually cause a vibration or thumping. If your wheel alignment is out it will usually cause the car to pull to one side.
