Have these bolts ever been removed before? If your truck is like most, probably not, so they are severely rusted. Get a can of good penetrating oil like PB Blaster and spray the threads of the bolts. I also used to use a similar product made by CRC, and it worked pretty well. I've never had any luck with Liquid Wrench, for some reason. Let it work for about 1/2 hour, re-spray them, and then try to remove them. In the most severe cases, it may be necessary to cut the bolts off, if possible, and replace them with new ones. Good luck!
Cut the bolts off and you will have to purchase a new flange kit from any parts store.
To replace it remove the battery terminal so you will not have power. Loosen the bolts (use liquid wrench or wd40 for this will be rusty) exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold (driver side) and then you need to loosen the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold to the part where it connect exhaust pipe from the other side of the exhaust manifold (passenger side) and then you need to loosen the electrical wire from the starter and then loosen the bolts that connect the starter now you can wiggle the starter to pull it out you need to try to figure out how to get it through the loosen exhaust pipe ( but it should come out)
cut the Y-pipe right in front of the brace for the front of the exhaust on the eng. get a coupling that fits over it and reassemble .
disconnect battery, lift car, unbolt starter with 9/16 socket two bolts on the rear of the starter. unbolt bracket on the front of the starter with 1/2 inch socket. disconnect battery cable from starter and the S wire from the starter. reverse order to install. make sure every thing is tight. if the starter wont drop out past the exhaust as on some models remove exhaust pipe at the flange above the starter and loosen exhaust flange on drivers side.
On the right side of the engine underneath the exhaust manifold forward of the transmission bell housing flange. There are three bolts holding it and you need to access the bolts from the transmission side (aft) of the engine. The size sockets is 14mm and you may need several extensions. You may have to loosen some electrical lines and transmissions fluid lines to gain access to the starter bolts.
It offsets the floor flange bolts by 2"
There are two converters on this vehical. They are connected to the y-pipes and come together at a common flange. They should be replaced as one unit. Unbolt the spring bolts at the exits of the exhaust manifolds, unbolt the common flange--3 nuts and bolts. Remove the Oxygen sensors. Install new gaskets and bolts
No, because it creates electrolysis.
These bolts have elongated heads that fit in narrow sockets in the floor flange so they cannot turn.
To allow floor flange bolts to have a place to fit and to anchor the flange to the cement /wood decking
Broken toilet flange. Toilet flange bolts may be loose.
most nuts or bolts tighten clockwise (anti-clock to loosen) if the bolt is "reverse-thread" it should have small nicks or grooves about half way on the hex nut (the bit you put the spanner on)
