Is the Chevy 6.2l vortec max engine gasoline or diesel?

The chevy 6.2 vortec max package is a gas engine, however Chevy did make a 6.2 diesel engine that was used for military vehicles. The diesel 6.2 is no longer available.

Will a 87 vortec 350 fit in a 1995 Chevy that had a 350 vortec and will all the wiring fit and hook up directly?

First of all Chevy did not make a vortec engine in 1987 or 1995, those engines are TBI / Throttle body injection engines. And yes they will interchange with no problems.

Idle adjustment 1995 Chevrolet s10 pickup truck four cylinder 2.2 liter engine?

To adjust the idle on a 1995 Chevrolet S10 with a 2.2 liter engine, locate the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve, which is usually located on or near the throttle body. Use a flathead screwdriver to turn the adjustment screw on the IAC valve to increase or decrease the idle speed. Make small adjustments and test the idle speed by running the engine to ensure it is at the desired RPM.

Why is the idle too low on your 2003 Chevy vann?

Could be Throttle Position sensor... it will make it idle high, and also it can make it idle low... it opperates the injectors, firing and all... a vehicle can run without the TPS but it will run rough.

Why is your 2001 KTM 520EXC not ideling?

I would first look at the idle jet to make sure it is not clogged. If the idle jet is ok, it is either a bad spark plug (not likely but a cheap fix), the carburetor out of adjustment or a faulty ignition.

What should a standard 2000 Toyota Celica idle at?

Usually idle for Celicas should be 700-800 rpms. The a/c idle adjustment is usually set by most people to idle at 1000 or so to make it cool better at stoplights in the summer. It is located on the firewall, passenger side, most applications. (white nylon adjuster with spring behind it and two vacuume hoses attached). You may find that depending on your engine's compression health, that a slightly higher adjustment will smooth out vibration at idle. Depends on fuel economy vs. comfort/irritability. lol! auntetr

Where is the idle adjustment for a 1996 Chevy cavilar?

There isn't one technically. There is a screw used at the factory to fine tune the idle. if you tamper with it you could make the engine start surging or make a check engine light come on due to an override.and the computer on most OBD2 cars will compensate, setting the idle back to where it was before you adjusted it. If the engine is idling rough or too slow you have a problem that's in the ignition or fuel system or a mechanical problem. Some tips: If the idle drops noticeably when you put it in gear with an automatic suspect the Idle air control, if it's running too fast it could be a binding throttle cable, or air getting past the IAC into the upper intake.

How do you adjust carb to make it leaner?

The only adjustment that you can lean out would be the idle circuit. That would be done by adjusting the idle mixture screw(s) while monitoring the vacuum and or the engine rpms. To make a carburetor run lean would require changing internal parts such as the jets and metering rods.
