How do you make sure The problem is the Alternator on my car and not the wires or relays before I replace the alternator?

if you have a vault meter, or you can get a hold of one test alternator this way put leads on neg and pos terminals while car is running, if meter reads 13 or 14 its throwing out enough power to charge battery.
Tough question. You didn't state the year and which brand of car you have such as chev or Ford or chysler etc. ?

I have a 2.0 1995 Mercury mystique the battery charge light was on no output on old alternator. Replaced alternator No output from new alternator "charge light out" (wiggle test wires& re-check wires) at alternator *still no output* is there a fuse that could be the problem or just another bad alternator... I would check the alternator plug before getting another alternator, it may be bad. And is a lot cheaper to replace.

Check out autozone.com which has online repair manuals. The manual (which is almost a copy of chilton's manual) says to rotate the tensioner and pull off the belt before removing the alternator.

Absoutely, tho it's probably built into the alternator. Ask your local auto parts supplier if a replacement regulator is available. Of course you have to disassemble the alternator and install the regulator if it in inside your alternator. lol It's inside the alternator.
