I Googled "Murano locked gas cap" and found answers that solved the problem, after being ripped off by Jack Ingram Nissan, Montgomery, AL, for $344. Wish I had gone to Google instead of Ingram!!! See my posting, Farmpsych
It is in the center console
The year, make and model info is needed to answer this question.
check under the outside edge of the drivers seat.
If said gas lever is the lever that opens the filler flap, look in the glovebox. The gas lever the opens the filler flap, on a 1971 Super Beetle, is located on the inside wall, just above where the front passenger's right knee would be. This is right beside/below the glove box, against the wall. On mine it's a D-ring you pull, and the filler flap pops open. If you can't find the ring it may be broken off, and you'll need to replace the wire and ring. If you have the ring and the flap still doesn't open, the little spring that causes it to pop open may be missing or broken.
'67 model year squareback has no external gas flap, the filler is under the hood on the top of the tank. The filler door on the passenger fender didn't come out until '68 for types 1 and 3.
it is front of the spare tire you will see a black flap lift that and there it is , if you look in the center of the spare tire you will see the Bose sub-woofer .
locate manual release for fuel filler flap on Mercedes bens s-2000
It IS possible, but you must force the siphon tube past the spring loaded flap at the filler cap. You may have some trouble withdrawing the tube past this flap but a long bladed screwdrive holding the flap open should releasethe pressure on it enough to withdraw the siphon tube.
Its a little rubber flap on top of the engine block. Just pull the excess rubber with a tug and you will see the resevoir.
To open the petrol tank on a Passat, inside the car next to the Handbrake on the Centre Console there is a button which when pressed releases the flap to the Fuel Filler Cap. Open the Flap unscrew the stopper and there you are. When finished be sure to lock tight the cap and make sure the Flap is fully closed flush to the bodywork.
Unscrew the gas cap and you'll see the gas filler flap. Put out your cigar and shove the flap open with a stick or something - you could just shove it with your finger but then your hand would smell like gas the rest of the day. Count to two, release the flap, screw the gas cap back on and you're done.
