unfortunately on the 2004 model you have to hit the unlock button on the driver side and then the sliding door button on the upper middle console.. If at first it does not open continue to do so. Make sure you turn the car off first for a couple of minutes than proceed to do this.. This routine however crazy it sounds always unlocks the lock whenever it is jammed for me.. good luck...
No Sir that did not work so im removing door panel to check rod. how do i remove inside handle and lock
