The one on top is to open the trunk. The one on the bottom is to open the fuel door.
Open the glove box and on the edge there is the traction control button.
If the glove box will not stay shut, look at the lock mechanism, the hinge and the latch. If either of these is bent, broken or loose, replace it. These are the most common causes.
The ford focus has a second fuse box at the rear of the glove box. You must empty glove box, when the glove box is open push in the sides,it's not easy and you must force it open. Its easy after that you will see whats what. Its a 15amp if that helps.
I have a 1975 Eldorado and there is a button inside the glove box to push. It pops the trunk lid open. Hope it works for you.
with a key. just kidding. there should be a button inside the glove box. if not, twist the cadillac emblem to one side on the trunk and you will see the key hole.

Hard to open a glove box that doesn't exist. because the mk3 jetta doesn't come with a glove box.
Inside the glove box there is a button you push. I think you got to have the ignition on for it to operate.
All you have to do is, When the glove box is open just open it again when it's closed. hope this helps.
While in the auto open the glove box. With the ignition switch turned on press the yellow button inside to the left of the glove box. It should release the trunk lid. If it does not the trunk release or the wiring to it may be bad.
