There is a pull\slide type lever in the kick panel on the bottom left side. Once you pull that the the hood should pop up. There is a safety catch on the inside left of the Mercedes emblem that is kind hard to see if you don't know its there. It will be on the top left side & just squeeze it, pull it towards grill & lift hood. Hope this helps.
Very carefully
Under steering wheel, find and pull the red lever (and yes, it IS difficult to find, but it's there ;-). That will "pop" open the hood slightly. Then, simply lift the hood open all the way; it will rise easily and stay open with the automatic shocks.
Inside the fuse box which is under the hood adjacent to the brake master cylinder.
The release inside the cabin is on the left wall of the driver's footwell. The safety catch release under the hood is just inside the MB Star in the grill at about 1:30 - 2 o'clock.
