look under the passenger side, almost in the wheel well. there will be a rubber flap that you have to move other wise you cannot see it. once you move the rubber, you will see what appears to be a white plastic screw, and there ya go!
Open the petcock or remove the lower radiator hose from the radiator.
If it is a plug turn counclockwise to remove If it is a petcock valve turn clockwise to open
counterclockwise but you may have to pull it
Remove plug or open petcock at the bottom or rear of the radiator or remove the lower radiator hose
1997 cavaliers don't have petcocks, actually no cavalier has a petcock. you can check the bottom of your buddy's motorcycle to find a petcock most likey.
Turn it counter clockwise to open.
The thermostat could be stuck open.

I haven't seen one. To drain the system you need to open the pressure cap and unclamp one of the lower end water hoses.
Float stuck open
Looking at the car from the front, the petcock is on the lover right hand side of the radiator. It doesn't twist, rather pulls out. Pull it toward the engine and it should open.
Clockwise = close Counter-clockwise = open.
