Go to the garage door opener and press the learn button on the unit. Press the button on the car remote, then the two should now work together.

If you have a "rolling code" garage door opener, you must go and press the "learn" button on your garage door opener and within 30 seconds go and hold the Homelink button in your car until it goes from a slow blink to a fast blink. Once that occurs you are done.
