This will setup the Homelink opener temporarily. 3) Located and Press a scan button on the Garage door opener. Now press the button on the Homelink that you selected a few times (usually 5-8 times) until the garage door opens with the Homelink. Now its permanent. - I had this problem myself. I didn't have the wireless garage door opener so I used my keypad outside my home to program the HomeLink.

If the Homelink in your eclipse has an oval LED above the middle button, it does not support rolling codes that most all of the newer garage door openers have. The Homelink systems that have a triangle looking LED seem to be newer and support rolling codes.
