Holley sells the necessary hardware.
You can go to some parts stores--Advance, Auto zone, Napa, and buy you an aftermarket throttle cable bracket that you can bolt onto the carb. bolts are intake manifold that will hold the throttle cable and the transmission d-tent cable.
AnswerAT A JUNK YARD $ 334-283-4982It is not a throttle cable. It is a kick down cable that engages a lower(passing) gear when the throttle is quickly advanced. You can probably get one at Autozone or NAPA Auto Parts.
Sounds like the throttle cable has broken.I personally would be heading to my favorite auto salvage/junk yard for a replacement - and advice on how to replace it.Shouldn't be hard - just a lot of angling down under the dash to get at the top of the gas pedal, and a few 5/16ths screws holding the cable housing to the mounting bracket at the throttle body.
To remove spare a tire from a GMC Envoy pull at the base of the cable this should free the bracket under the tire. Then take your jack lift up on the tire and slide it off. If you can not remove the bracket you can go to an auto shop and have it removed.
You will need to remove the throttle body and replace the throttle body gasket. The throttle body gasket can be purchased at most auto-parts stores.
A throttle body can be cleaned without removal. Several spray cleaners for throttle bodies are available at your local auto parts.
erm? bracket? huh? the intake and carb require gaskets, and those can be obtained from any auto parts store
Use throttle body carbon cleaner, you can find it in any auto part store.
Located on the passenger side of throttle body housing
A possibility is that the idle air throttle control is probably sticking. It is on top of the throttle body. I recommend replacement, this should fix your problem. Your question raises more questions: What do you mean by 'kick down'? Are you talking about the Transmission not kicking down? If so.. probable problem is the Throttle Position Sensor on the opposite side of the throttle bellcrank. Otherwise, if you are meaning the rpm wont kick down to normal, then there is a good chance you have a vacuum leak or, as said above, the ISC is gummed up or defective. To check for vacuum leak, disconnect ALL vacuum accesory tubing at the manifold EXCEPT for the Fuel pressure regulator. Plug those manifold ports and try it. Other possibilities are binding throttle cable/ trans cable at the throttle. DO NOT adjUst that throttle stop screw!!!!
clean the throttle body on 20000 Ford Ranger 3.0 v6 is with throttle body cleaner purchased at an auto parts store.
Most auto parts store sell a replacement cable.
