You have to Publish/Finish your WMM (Windows Movie Maker) project before you can view it, email it, upload it or burn it to CD/DVD.
A .MSWMM (Microsoft Windows Movie Maker) project file can't be viewed/edited anywhere other than in the WMM program.
Visit the URL for instructions on Publishing/Finishing your WMM project:

You can't do that in Windows Movie Maker. Of course you can use an animation, but you can't place it over a picture or video clip in the same project. You can do that in other video editing software applications, but not Windows Movie Maker. Sorry.
You can't do that in Windows Movie Maker, Live Movie Maker or any other version.
Have you Published or Finished the movie in Windows Movie Maker? You have to publish or finish the project before it can be uploaded anywhere. This exporting process converts the video/audio properties of a Windows Movie Maker project file into Standard Viewing Format. The output source format is .wmv, which is a compatible format for uploading to YouTube.
You can use iTunes to put movies from Windows Movie Maker onto your iPod. I believe Movie Maker files are compatible with Movie Maker, but if you find they are not for some reason, convert them to QT or .mp4 format beforehand.
You can't do that in Windows Live Movie Maker. It does not have split window feature.
All media (clips/pic/video/audio) must be Imported into Windows Movie Maker before they can be used in a project. Once imported, drag the media into the Storyboard or Time-line view for editing.
Use the Titles and Credits feature to add text over clips in Windows Movie Maker.
don't use movie maker use adobe after effects
You have to make sure the Windows Movie Maker video you created is finalized first. The final step is to Publish or Finish the video since a Windows Movie Maker project file (MSWMM) can't be opened/used in any other manner than in the program itself.Once you have finished/published you video, open you Windows DVD Maker and follow the instructions in the program to burn the video to DVD.
You can't do that with Windows Live Movie Maker because the Narration feature is not available with that version of the program.
Windows Live Movie Maker does not include a Narration feature. So, if you want to add your voice to video on Windows Live Movie Maker, it will have to be produced with an external audio recorder, then imported into the program.
Publish or Finish the audio project in Windows Movie Maker first. The publishing/finishing process automatically converts the file name extension (format) into .wma.Then all you have to do is locate the file on your computer and upload it to your mp3 player.
