put the belt on all the pulleys except the tension pulley, insert a 3/8" ratchet into the side of the tension pulley(there will be a square slot), turn it till you can slip belt over the pulley, and once you do, let off of the pulley and it should stay on there, provided you routed it right.
Correction: I'll make this a lot easier. Go to autozone.com and look up your make and model. They have serpentine belt diagrams for the 4 and 6 cylinder berettas.

Put the serpentine belt on to the pulleys of your 1994 Chevy engine. Tighten a serpentine belt with the tensioner pulley.
Loosen the tensioner pulley. The serpentine belt will become loose and can be removed. Put the new serpentine belt on and tighten the tensioner pulley.
I think it has a serpentine belt,at least mine does You can put a 15mm wrench on the tensioner and pull it toward you, the belt will slide right off.
There should be a belt diagram under the hood.
How to put on belt
You can change the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner pulley. When the tensioner pulley is loose and the serpentine belt will become loose. Put the new serpentine belt on and tighten the tensioner pulley.
Put the new serpentine belt on to your 1992 Chevy Corsica pulleys. Push the tensioner pulley to the left to tighten the serpentine belt.
Put the serpentine belt around the pulleys on your 2001 Chrysler LHS. Tighten the serpentine belt by pushing the tensioner pulley to the left. Tighten down the tensioner pulley and the serpentine belt will be tight.
