The Shadow convertible top was never designed to go all the way down. When sold originally, they came with a vinyl boot that was to cover the roof rails and be stored in the trunk when not in use. Notice the snaps above the speakers in the back seat area and the three above the trunk area for the boot cover. There was a booklet included with your owners manual titled"Convertible--Owner's Manual Supplement". It is a red and white striped 21 page booklet on do's and don't's. You can probably find it online like eBay etc. Remember, the Shadow had it's top literally cut off to become a convertible. That is why there are three pieces of plastic surrounding the base of the soft top and trunk.
fuel tank has to come down it's inside.
Frequently while slowing down to my 1991 caravan stops. I have to turn the key and restart it or it will stop completely. Why does this happen.

On my 93 shadow, there is a plate mounted right in front of the radiator, beside the hood latch. Fourth line down are my codes, which read "APA PQE QQE ..."

i had this problem ( but i might not work for you here is what i found) you have to check the fluid levels in you rad when cooled down you might not have enough coolent.
When the sun is low down, the shadow is longer. If the sun is high up the shadow is shorter.
